The IV International Forum Arctic: Today and the Future, organized by the Association of Polar Explorers, an Interregional Public Organization, was held in St. Petersburg on December 10 - 11, 2014. The final event on the development of the Arctic has gathered more than 600 people, united by one idea: comprehensive assistance and support of the state policy aimed at the exploration and socio-economic development of the polar regions. Representatives of state authorities, commercial structures and public organizations were among the participants. Each of them has supported the discussion dedicated to the future of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation.

The event attracted great interest of the mass media representatives. More than 100 federal and regional journalists have visited the Forum. They took an active part in press-conferences and briefings with key experts. Vnesheconombank, Rosneft, Rosseti, Novatek and Yamal LNG have acted as the partners of the event.
