The Ministry of Defense continues to modernize the military infrastructure in the Arctic

The Russian Ministry of Defense continues to modernize the military infrastructure in the Arctic, the plan of the last year was fulfilled by 108%, the Minister of Defense of Russia, Army General Sergei Shoigu said at the collegium of the military department.

"Modernization of military infrastructure in the Arctic continues. Last year, 117 buildings and structures were built. The commissioning schedule for 2021 was fulfilled by 108%," the minister said.

He added that in 2022 it is planned to carry out work on 28 sites in the Arctic.
