The minutes of the meeting, published on the Association's website, said that the members of the Council unanimously approved the date December 8-9, 2022.

"The business programme of the XI Forum "The Arctic: Today and the Future" was the most ambitious in Russia in terms of Arctic topics - 54 events took place. There were 482 speakers in the programme. In 2022, the aim of the Forum will be to unite efforts to improve the quality of life and realize the potential of the Arctic.
We present the forum as a single mechanism that unites civil society, business, science and authorities, and develops solutions through dialogue and public diplomacy.
Over 2000 people from Russia and other countries are expected to take part in the Forum. Based on the new international and economic realities, this year we have identified six key areas that will run through the entire business program of the upcoming event", said Alexander Basalaev, the head of the analytical department of the "Association of polar explorers".

Six key tracks have been developed for the upcoming forum: adaptation to climate change, responsible management in a new environment, human capital development, interregional cooperation, limitations versus solutions, the Arctic in an international public dialogue. The thematic tracks are formed of energy, economic, infrastructure, educational and other issues.

Other important topics of the forum will be the 90th anniversary of the Northern Sea Route, the 85th anniversary of the North Pole drifting station and the 15th anniversary of the high-latitude expedition Arktika-2007.

The Forum "Arctic: Today and the Future" sums up the results of the Arctic agenda for the year, forming comprehensive directions for the development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation.
