Arkhangelsk Region plans to create a fund for the development of domestic tourism

Authorities of the Arkhangelsk region plan to create a Development Fund for domestic tourism of the Arctic zone for the residents of the region. This was reported on Tuesday by Olga Gorelova, the chairman of the board of the Arkhangelsk Regional Tourism Association.

"We now have an issue on the agenda in the region to create a separate fund for the development of domestic tourism in the Arctic, similar to the regional Industry Fund," - she said during the discussion club of the Project Office for the development of the Arctic.

Gorelova noted that tax residents of the Arkhangelsk region will be provided with funds at a preferential rate. "These are not microloans up to 5 million rubles, but a little more investment - 10-20 million rubles, also at a preferential rate of up to 4-5% and for up to 5-7 years. This is an additional tool for a little bit bigger investment projects for tax residents of the Arkhangelsk region", - she explained.

It was reported earlier that Arkhangelsk region and Nenets Autonomous District worked out the first interregional expedition tourist route "Northern ethnographic route" from Arkhangelsk to Naryan-Mar on dogs and snowmobiles.

The Federal Agency for Tourism earlier said that in the near future it is planned to sign an agreement on the implementation of the project "Polar Passport", which will mark in it all the attractions and key places of attraction of the Russian Arctic after their visit.
