13 trade and logistics centers will be opened in Yakutia
Establishment of 13 trade and logistics centers in the Arctic regions of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) will provide year-round delivery of products and will promote entrepreneurship. This opinion was expressed by Sergey Neustroev, First Deputy Minister for the Development of the Arctic and the Affairs of the Peoples of the North of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
Northern delivery means delivery of food, medicine and fuel to hard-to-reach settlements and entire regions, including the Arctic regions, which are cut off from the rest of the country for several winter months due to difficult climatic conditions.
"In the context of this situation, the government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is creating a network of trade and logistics centers in 13 Arctic regions. They will ensure year-round guaranteed supply of food products for the Arctic population," shared Sergey Neustroev.
He has also added that the implementation of the project also involves puchasing food from the local population. According to Mr Neustroev, this will improve the efficiency of food supplies support.
