The first investment projects in the Arctic will be related to logistics, including the operation of the Northern Sea Route. The Development Fund of the Far East will deal with it.
As the head of the Development Fund of the Far East Alexey Chekunkov reported, first of all, they will be engaged in projects related to the development of transport hubs. Also it will be projects related to improvement of quality of life, for example, airport modernization and urban development. After that the Fund will support small and medium-sized businesses, as well as the development of tourism.
The work of all development institutions of the Far East will be extended to the Arctic zone, investors will receive a number of preferences. Information about 101 investment projects with an investment of 9.5 trillion rubles has been already collected. This bill will be submitted to the Russian government before June 10.
