The Ministry of Construction proposed to relocate the inhabitants of the Far North at the expense of Gazprom and Rosneft
The Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation has published a bill - large subsoil users will be subjects to a quasi-tax of 2% on net profit. It was reported by the Kommersant Daily.
With this money the Ministry plans to resettle citizens leaving the regions of the Far North, because with current funding this problem can be solved only in 78 years.
Gazprom, Rosneft, LUKOIL, Alrosa, Susumanzoloto work in the polar regions - if a tax is introduced, the agency will complete the resettlement in 7-8 years.
Experts note that introduction of such fee may lead to a reduction in salaries in the northern regions - it is obvious that employers will charge this tax on tax payments similar to social benefits.
