Search and rescue team of the Northern Fleet ship conducts exercises in the Barents Sea

May 6, anti-submarine ships left the main base of the Kola Flotilla of diverse forces - the city of Polyarny. They have been accompanied by Vladimir Gumanenko, Kotelnich, Solovetsky Yunga trawlers.

As soon as the team entered the combat training area, they have begun to conduct tactical test for searching and destroying a conditional enemy submarine This exercise is practiced in cooperation with IL-38 anti-submarine aircraft of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces within the Northern Fleet.

During the exercise anti-submarine sailors will work out communication, elements of joint maneuvering of the ships as part of the ship's search and strike team, conduct a series of training for personnel of emergency parties in the struggle for survivability on the ship.

At the final stage, which will last several days, it is planned to perform a number of combat training exercises, including torpedo firing.

The area of combat exercises is closed for navigation and aviation flights in advance.

Upon completion of the exercise Junga, Brest and Snezhnogorsk anti-submarine warfare will return to the main base of the Kola Flotilla of diverse forces - the city of Polyarny.
