The State Program for the Development of the Arctic will be presented in June
The state program on the social and economic development of the Arctic zone of Russia will be presented in June. It was reported at a meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Regional Policy and North Affairs by the Deputy Head of the Ministry for the Development of the Far East Alexander Krutikov. The state program determines the main directions of development of the Arctic zone.
It must answer the key question - how to develop and use the Russian Arctic territories - on a rotational basis or establishing state support measures for the settlements located there. There was no unity in the Government on this issue.
The program will be heard at the meeting of the Federation Council Committee, which will be held in Yakutsk in mid-June.
