Emergency mode due to the invasion of polar bears was removed in the Novaya Zemlya district

In the Arctic in the Novaya Zemlya district emergency mode was removed – polar bears left the Belushya Guba village. It was reported by the Rospotrebnadzor in the Arkhangelsk region.  

The experts, including scientists, militaries, security agencies and municipal officials, continue checking the territory.  It was declared in the ministry that there was no one polar bear noticed in the village or suburbs for the last day.

«Near the other settlements there is much less animals, than it was the last week», - Rospotrebnadzor reports.

The archipelago was in emergency mode due to the invasion of polar bears from February 9 to 19. There were about 50 animals near the Belushya Guba village, and 10 predators were constantly present in the village.

The experts point out that solid ice finally appeared and animals could left the village and came to the places of habitual hunting.
